Iqbal Chowdhury brings over 20 years of extensive experience spanning Sustainability, Project Management, and Automation across diverse industries, including consultancy, telecommunications, real estate, and green building. He is currently serving as a Climate and Resilient Buildings Specialist at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), where he contributes to advancing sustainable infrastructure and resilient building practices.
Iqbal is an accredited EDGE Expert and EDGE Faculty, actively engaged in promoting resource-efficient and green building solutions. In addition to his role at IFC, he is the Founder and Project Lead of Umbrella PMC, a specialized project management consultancy offering services across various sectors, including green building certification, strategic project delivery, and stakeholder engagement.
He currently serves as the President of the PMI Bangladesh Chapter, leading initiatives that strengthen the project management community in Bangladesh and foster professional development opportunities. Iqbal holds multiple globally recognized credentials, including PMP (Project Management Professional), PMI-CP (Construction Professional), and PMO-CP (PMO Certified Practitioner).
