Khandoker Tamirul Islam is a distinguished IT and project management leader with over 24 years of professional experience, including more than 15 years specializing in project management, enterprise solutions, and client engagement across both public and private sectors. Throughout his career, he has successfully delivered more than 20 large-scale and complex projects, driving digital transformation, operational excellence, and business value across diverse industries.
Currently serving as Head of Project Management at TechVision, Mr. Islam leads end-to-end project delivery, stakeholder engagement, governance, resource management, and project execution functions. In addition, he heads the Client Engagement function and plays a strategic role in ERP business development and sales initiatives, helping organizations leverage technology to improve efficiency and achieve their business objectives.
Prior to his current role, he held several senior leadership and technical positions, including Chief Technology Officer at BS Corporation, a leading SAP implementation partner, System Analyst at icddr,b, and Project Director at Optimum Solutions Limited. These roles enabled him to develop deep expertise in project and risk management, business and systems analysis, ERP implementation, enterprise applications, IT governance, GDPR compliance, and cross-functional team leadership.
Mr. Islam has contributed to numerous nationally significant projects that have transformed business operations and public services. His notable accomplishments include leading ERP implementations for organizations in Bangladesh’s power sector, developing healthcare management systems for icddr,b, delivering municipal tax and asset management platforms, and supporting large-scale government automation and digital transformation initiatives. His work has consistently enhanced operational efficiency, transparency, accountability, and service delivery across multiple sectors.
He holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science from North South University (NSU), providing a strong academic foundation that complements his extensive practical experience in technology leadership and project delivery.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Mr. Islam is a dedicated volunteer and active contributor to the professional community. He actively supports both PMI Bangladesh Chapter and PMI UK Chapter initiatives and serves as a Board Member of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Bangladesh Chapter. He is also the General Secretary of the NSU School of Engineering and Physical Sciences (SEPS) Alumni Association and Vice President of the NSU Postgraduate Alumni Association.
